Hogar Fundación Niñito Jesús is a non-profit organization that provides shelter to children who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Family Affairs. We currently provide housing for 23 boys and girls, ranging from newborns to seven (7) years of age. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our focus is to provide a home-like environment filled with love, motivation, and guidance, fostering a foundation that helps them become responsible citizens who contribute to the well-being of our society.
The resources to fund non-profit activities come from private donations, fundraising events, and legislative appropriations, among others. Given the economic crisis the country is facing, obtaining the necessary funds to meet the Institution's basic needs has become increasingly difficult. This has created an urgent need to identify new sources of income to sustain the organization.
For this reason, we are launching our “Transforming Mistreatment into Compassionate Care” campaign. In addition to raising social awareness, we are raising funds through the sale of T-shirts. All proceeds are used to cover the Home’s operational expenses. The approximate monthly cost to support each child is $2,222.00, totaling $51,106.00 per month and $613,272.00 annually.
You can cooperate by purchasing a T-shirt (Gildan brand) for $10.00 and participating in the two scheduled “casual days”: February 14 and July 11. Additionally, you may choose any date that is convenient for your company, school, or organization to host its own "casual day." Orders must be placed 5 days prior to the delivery date. Full payment is required at the time of delivery via cash, money order, or check made payable to Fundación Hogar Niñito Jesús.
To place an order, please call (787) 748-5682 or (787) 748-5633, or email directora@fhnj.org using the included purchase order.
Thank you; we look forward to your generous contribution.
