Walmart Foundation Invests in Our Children

San Juan, Puerto Rico. In December 2015, the Walmart Foundation and its Puerto Rico representatives visited us to share the wonderful surprise of a $36,000.00 donation to support the work carried out at Hogar Niñito Jesús. Additionally, Walmart Puerto Rico staff and executives brought toys for the children and organized a special show featuring none other than Elsa from the movie Frozen, who spent a delightful afternoon with the boys and girls.

The donation granted by the Walmart Foundation will be used to cover medical expenses, medicine, and the 24/7 caregiving staff who work tirelessly to look after the children living at the Home. We are grateful to know that we are not alone in our mission to help our children become healthy, productive, and responsible citizens through a home experience where they receive love, medical care, healthy eating habits, education, safety, and moral guidance.

For this reason, we thank the Walmart Foundation, its employees, partners, and executives for supporting our work and for ensuring that the children at Hogar Niñito Jesús have access to health and love. Thank you!
